Despite being banned until Feb. 25, 2016 for violating anti-doping rules Elena Lashmanova would attend last December 30, 2014 in Saransk to an indoor competition on the distance of 5.000m indoor.

Obviously Lashmanova not appear in the results but a photographic reportage shows unequivocallly her participation and the award ceremony on the top step of the podium alongside Elmira Alembekova.

The official winner was Elmira Alembekova with an unofficial time of 20:20 in front of Vera Sokolova (20:24) and Anisya Kirdyapkina (20:41).

The men event have seen instead as  winner Aleksander Ivanov in 18:26 in front of Mikhail Ryzhov (18:41) and Denis Strelkov (19:03).

Again there is some discrepancy with the photographic reportage that sees the second step of the podium Sergey Bakulin and not Mikhail Ryzhov, but it could be a temporary absence or an error in the results.
