Good start of the season for Federica Ferraro last Sunday January 18 on the track of Nice has returned to compete with a race of short distance in race walk.

The occasion was given by the Regional meeting of the Côte d'Azur in long distance throws, during which the local organizers have decided to add a track walk race on the unusual distance of 3,000 meters.

The race, however, was not of poor attendance, because, despite being early in the season, thirteen athletes (two of which Italian) attended.

The victory went to Federica Ferraro in 13:16.88 in front of the French who competes for the Nice Cote d'Azur Athletisme Ines Pastorino (14:35.59) and her teammate Morgane Ausello (15: 52.18).

With this result the athlete of Aeronautica Militare leaps ahead in the season list (although we are at the beginning of year) improving the time of 13:23.79 obtained a week before by the Portuguese Ana Cabecinha in Vila Real de Santo Antonio (POR).
