It was then that, realizing that he still has a good supply of energy tha the has decided to grope the world result; he has forced the pace and still has finished the last 5 km in just over 19:00. (the last 5 km were covered at an average of slightly more than 3:48 at Km).
In second place ranked Bertrand Moulineux in 1:19:18.

These impressions Diniz after the race:
“It felt like I was flying,” he said. “I’m super happy and excited. I might be the best race walker in the world today, but I have to reach the podium at the World Championships and Olympics to end my run of bad luck. My motto now is: the medal”
Diniz dedicated his world record to his current and former coaches, as well as the French team currently competing at the European Indoor Championships.
These are today the personal best of Diniz of them, those in bold are also world records.
