While in the European night in Nomi in Japan, during the Asian Championships of 20 km. road walk, the Japanese Yusuke Suzuki knocked down the wall of 1:17:00 (except Sergey Morozov - RUS in 2008), in the morning took place in Lugano the 13th edition of the Memorial Mario Albisetti.
To be fair the presence at the starting line this year was not, except for Yohann Diniz (in its second 20 km in a week), of the same level as that of previous years.
Together with Diniz, at the street the known name of Caio Bonfim (BRA), who competes in almost all the races of the IAAF Challenge in Europe, and the less well-known South African Lebogang Shange but in the end it will be the surprise of the day.
20 km men
Yohann Diniz is present today in Lugano a week after the vicory in Arles whwere he established the world record on the distance of 20 km road walk, and certainly he already knows that from some hours he is no longer the record holder, as in Nomi, Japan during the Asian Championship the Japanese Yusuke Suzuli lowered his performance last week with a time of 1:16:36.
Nevertheless, the French confirms its current form was dir world by winning the race with a time of 1:17:23.
In second place, surprisingly arrives the South African with a time of 1:21:50, while the Brazilian Caio Bonfim is in third place with a time of 1:22:00 in front of English Tom Bosworth (1:22 : 33).

In second place arrives Vera Santos (POR) with a time of 1:30:23, while the bronze goes to the Polish Agnieszka Dygacsz (POL) in 1:30:38.
The Italians in the race:
- Surprise of the surprises the best (8th place) is an Italian woman of 31 years living and working abroad, followed by an Australian coach transplanted in the UK, and for the occasion lowering her best performance on the distance after 11 years by 5:35.
Let's talk about Tatyana Gabellone that with a time of 1:35:33 ranks, currently in third place in the Italian list of 2015, after Federica Ferraro (1:33:10 in Riposto on Feb. 1, 2015) and after Valentina Trapletti (1:34:35 in Arles on March 8, 2015) and ahead of Federica Curiazzi (1:40:05 in Riposto on Feb. 1, 2015).
Given that Giorgi, Palmisano and the returning Rigaudo certainly do better, is always an interesting performance that would place in the top eight of the Italian list: obtained with a lot of will and without much outcry.
- Mariavittoria Becchetti is 9th in 1:35:45 (a great performance for a girl who has just turned 20 and at the time which places 13th in the world U23 list in the distance of 20 km)
- Serena Pruner is 11th in 1:36:43
- Nicole Colombi is 15th in 1:40:00
