Were held past weekend in conjunction with the races in Beijing and Dudince the Spanish Championships of 20 km Renteria, near San Sebastian.
20 km men
Miguel Ángel López won the title, while Diego Garcia broke the Spain Junior record in 1:21:45.
The Spanish, champion of 20 km Zurich, added another victory to his interests; if in Jumilla three weeks ago won the overall title on the distance of 35 km march, this time Lopez got his third title in the 20km, after 2010 and 2012 and this time with a time of 1:19:52, equaling the record of the championship that belonged to Francisco Javier Fernández in 2007 in Santa Eulia des Rius.
Second in the race came to 20 seconds, Álvaro Martín who improved his personal best of 1:20:19 and third junior Diego Garcia, who in his debut on the 20 km has managed to beat the record of Spain Junior with a record of 1:21:45 (which belonged to his teammate Alvaro Martín with 1:22:12 obtained in Lugano in 2012).
Needless to say, the first three have reached the standard for the next World Championships in Beijing.
20 km Women
It was included in the program of the Criterium RFEA female walking.
Victory in the race went to a radiant Julia Takacs, who after her disqualification in Jumilla, is back in full force to win with a time of 1:31:33, in front of Maria Jose Poves (1:32:31) and third Laura García-Caro with a 1:32:36 personal best (third best U23 of all time).
Good also debut on the distance of the junior Maria Perez that patronage has completed the test with a time of 1:35:14.
