Were held Sunday, April 19 in Wajima the Japan road walk Championships of 50 km, with some other races.

50 km

Twenty-three athletes at the start

To 10 km leads Takayuki Tanii (43:54) followed at a short distance from Hirooki Arai and Takuya Yoshida (44:00) and Yuki Yamazaki.

To 20 km is always Tanii to lead (1:28:03) and in the leading group are the same athletes.

At 30 km Arai and Yoshida reached Tanii and go together in 2:12:32. Yamazaki is sixth in 2:15:11

Between 30 km and 35 km Arai increases the pace and with a split of 21:53 and moved into the lead.  Tanii is in second place.

At 40 km sees still firmly in the lead Hiroki Arai (2:56:06 - split pf 21:39) followed by Takayuki Tanii (2:57:05 - split of 22:31), by Takuya Yoshida (2:57:09 - split of 22:39) and Yuki Yamazaki (2:59:32 - split of 22:14).

The last 10 km are covered by Hiotoki Arai with high regularity (22:09 and 22:07). He’s the victory in 3:40:20.

In second place was last year's winner, Takayuki Tanii in 3:42:01 (22:35 and 22:21 the splits of the last 10 km).

For Bronze beautiful comeback Yuki Yamasaki ending the race in 3:43: 40 (22:06 and 22: 02 the splits of the last 10 km, which are also the best of the first three).

Collapses instead Takuya Oshida (23:49 and 25:09 the splits of the last 10 km) ending fourth in 3:46:07.

Victory to Satoshi Maruo in 40:01 (19:51 and 20:10).

Second place to Hitoshi Warita at 41:14 (20:11 and 21:03)

Third to Yuuta Hukushina in 41:42 (20:14 and 21:28)

Thirty-seven athletes at the start of which 33 arrived, 2 DNF and 2 DQ

10 km women

Victory to Kumiko Okada in 43:32 (21:41 and 21:51)

Second place to Rena Goto in 46:18 (22:40 and 23:38)

Third to Chiaki Asada in 46:32 (23:06 and 23:26)
