Last weekend took place in Cartagena the 74th University Championships of Spain with the classic events on track on the distance of 5.000m for women and 10.000m. for men: Raquel Gonzalez Campos and Miguel Angel Lopez are the new University Champions of Spain.

5.000m track walk women

Wins the race, risking a lot (2 red card for loss of contact), having dueled with Julia Takacs (later disqualified: 3 red card for loss of contact) Raquel Gonzalez Campos of the Catholic University of San Antonio, with the time of 21: 07:51; she  has won so her third university title after those of 2012 and 2014.

In second place Amanda Cano Gomez of the University of Murcia in 22:23.84 (personal best) while the bronze goes to Laura Jimenez Elipe, also of the Catholic University of San Antonio, who raced in the time of 25:04:40.

10,000m track walk men

Has no difficulty to win the University title the European Champion of Zurich in 20 km, Miguel Angel Lopez, (Catholic University of San Antonio), who completed the race in 38: 53.42 and obtains his fourth title (2011, 2012 , 2014, and 2015).

Second place goes to Luis Alberto Amezcua in 40:10.79, while the bronze goes to Benjamin Sanchez in 42:16:54.

Also in this event a disqualification of luxury: that of Diego Garcia (1996).
