20 km men

The race saw the departure six athletes, of which only two of Denmark.

Victory to the Norwegian Erik Tysse with a time of 1:20:52 and with these splits times: 5km in 20:10; 10km in 40:23; 15km in 1:00:37

In second place was the Swede Anders Hansson in 1:28:06 (22:04; 44:08: 1:06:14)

The bronze went to the Danish Andreas W. Nielsel in 1:39: 53 (00:29; 49:39; 1:15:00).

Christer Svensson was ranked fourth in 1:45:02 (26:47; 53:45; 1:19:29)

Two athletes disqualified.

10 km Women

In the 10 km race for women only one walker, Birgit Klaproth of Denmark who raced in 1:16: 57.
