I was reached by one of those news you never want to hear: Annarita Sidoti passed away.
I will not mention here the champion who won a lot and, perhaps, never been adequately appreciated for what she did, but my friend, the woman, the mother who fought with courage and strength for several years against a sneaky opponent to which she finally succumbed.
I remember I lived for the first time with Anna a period of training in the winter 1987 in Cyprus. Since then another 5 years of sport and career that we have seen side by side many times and above all a relationship of friendship and affection that you're never off.
The last time we felt it was only a few weeks ago for the exchange of Easter greetings. She has never hidden, even on that occasion, the difficulties that accompanied her life but was always confident, combative, cheerful and spontaneous as she knew to be.
I really have no words, and only the heart tight with grief would know to express what is my feels, but the heart does not write (perhaps fortunately) and knows only leave an intimate mixture of the pain of the moment and the joy of having been able to know Anna and share with you many happy moments.
Hello Anna I miss you so much, you'll miss a lot.

Ήταν ο προπονητής μου στη Πρέβεζα (Μυλωνάς Μανώλης) που μου είπε ....Αθανασία δες.... Ειςτε ίδιες ..... Τεχνική....καλούπι....περίμενα με ανυπομονησία να την δω απο κοντα σε κάποιον αγώνα..... Μεχρι που βρέθηκε "αντίπαλος" μου στο Μόναχο 2002... Εννοείτε με κέρδισε αλλα ήμουν τόσο μα τόσο χαρούμενη που έκανα αρκετά χιλιόμετρα μαζί της! Όπου κ αν πάει να ειναι ετσι οπως την ειχα γνωρίσει ... ζιζάνιο και χαρούμενη !
