For first time ever women track walking event will be held during Ostrava Golden Spike meeting on May 26 (IAAF World Challenge).
Czech Republic is having a top talent currently, World junior champion and European senior medalist Anezka Drahotova.
She improved last weekend at European Cup in Spain her national record to 1:26:53 at 20 km.
The versatile all rounder (will be 20 only in July, competes also in cycling and half-marathons) will try at 3000m walk against another European medalist Lyudmila Olyanovska from Ukraine.
She wants to target the 12 minutes, all-time world best by Irish Gillian O'Sullivan is 11:35.34 obtained in Belfast on Feb. 2, 2003.
