This weekend took place in Mungyeong, in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea the 69th Koreans Championships in Athletics.
The race walking events, which took place over a distance of 20 km of road, were valid as selection for the next World Championships in Beijing 2015, and judged, nevertheless an uninspiring presence of athletes, by an international jury composed of:
Chun Doo-An (KOR), Dukho Cho (KOR), Akira Fujisaki (JPN), Khoo Beng Chong (MAS), Echo Yeung (HKG).
The hot and humid day has a great influence on the level of results.
20 km road walk men
The victory went to Chilung Park who finished the race with the not exciting time of 1:29:38.
The silver went to Sehan Oh in 1:31:09, while the bronze went to Byeongho Choe in 1:35:44 that preceded the last of arrived, Donghyon Klm (1:40:15)
Only four athletes arrival of the nine started.
20 km road walk women
The victory went to Yeong Jeon who finished the race with a time of 1:37:47.
The silver went to Seasbyeol Weon in 1:37:58 while the bronze went to Jeongeun Lee in 1:37:59.
Only three athletes at the start and all arrived, almost sound like the plot of the movie "The Sound of Music."
