Past Saturday and Sunday were held in Xintai, in Shandong province, China the summer championship youth categories that include in China the Junior (U20) and U18.
The races were held on the classic distance of 10km road walk for both categories and are valid as selection for the Chinese Team Championships to be held in September.
Participation in both the junior and U18 was as usual very interesting.
In men 10 km Junior starters were 75 while the female saw 47 athletes at the start.
In men 10 km U18 starters were 62 while that of girls saw 40 athletes at the start.
Alongside there were two races of 20 km senior (one for men and one for women) and the next day a 30 km reserved to Junior men but with only nine athletes at the start, being in fact the two days Xintai focused on youth competitions,
10 km Junior Men
The victory went to Song Sun who has completed the race in 41:35.

The second place went to Liangyong Li who finished the race in 41.52 in front of Wanxin Zhang in 41:54
Of the 75 starters, 72 have finished the race, one DNF and 4 DQ
10 km U18 boys
The victory went to Jun Zhang, beautiful young athlete coached by the 2012 assistant of Sandro Damilano in Saluzzo, who, without any difficulty, finished the race with the time of 41:54.
