They are underway this weekend in Valladolid (ESP) the Spanish U16 Championships.
Yesterday evening was held in the boys race on the distance of 5.000m track walk and this morning took place the female on the usual distance of 3.000m track walk.
5.000m track walk boys (U16)
The victory went to an athlete of Canarian, Yeray Luis Gonzalez who finished the race with a time of 23:14:38
The silver went to Isaac Martin Garcia, after just over 15" who finished in 23:30:36 in front of Daniel Jimeno Rivera who gets the bronze in 23:34.16.
All three athletes are the year of birth 2000.
In fourth place the first of YoB 2001, Jose Mestre Martin in 23:41.54.
Thirty athletes at the start of which 29 have completed the race and 1 DNF
3.000m track walk girls (U16)
In girls, the victory went to Laura Sanabria Sanchez in 14:40:25 after leading the race from the start with these split times: 1.000m in 4:43:30; 2.000m in 9:47.50.
The silver went to teammate Ana Pulgarin Cardeno in 14:48.50 that preceded Jennifer Sanchez Raya bronze in 14:52.48.
Twenty-four athletes at the start; all have completed the race.
