Begin the European Junior Championships and immediately start with the race walk women after a stellar race on a nove cool morning.

The victory and the other two medals go to Russia.
 
Klavdyia Afanasieva establishes the best world performance of the year in 43:36.88 and dominates the race.
Behind her the silver go to Olga Shargina in 44:01.08 (personal best and new Spanish record) in front of teammate Mariya Losinova who completed the race in 44:07:44.
 
Up to 7 km leads the race Mariya Losinova with these splits:
1000m: 4:41.20
2000m: 9:13.86
3000m: 13:39.00
4000m: 18:01.23
5000m: 22:21.94
6000m: 26:43.22
7000m: 31:06.80
at 8.000m leads Afanasyeva in 35:11.19 that increases the pace and pass at 9.000m in 39:29.67, going to win with a final in the last 1,000m of 4:07.21.
 
The race of the other sees prevail for fourth place of the Spanish Maria Perez 44:19.05 (personal best) in front of the Italian Noemi Stella ending the race in 44: 43.78 (also for her personal best and new Italian record on the distance). The previous record are of Antonella Palmisano and had been obtained during World Junior Championships in Moncton 2010.
 
The other finalists are: sixth Taika Nummi (FIN - 45:44.43), seventh Lidia Puebla-Sanchez (ESP - 45:47.88 - PB), eighth Zivile Vaiciukeviciute (LTU - 46:13.23 - PB).
 
Eleonora Dominici, the other Italian in the race is ninth in 46:21:29 (personal best).
 
Twenty-six athletes at the start, of which 25 have completed the race and 1 DNF
