Who knew the Colombian race would be the fastest of the year was rejected: the high temperature and persistent humidity have played an important part.
Therefore, the results obtained in Cheboksary in Russia in their national championships to date of June 12, 2015 are still the ones with the best performance of the year.

Leader of the list is the Russian Zakhar Sliva (41:52.62) who therefore ended  in Cali on 10th position after served 120" penalty in the Pit Lane area following three red cards for loss of contact, for more people very acceptable, and leaving the victory to his teammate Sergey Shirobokov in 42:24.41 (who had obtained in Cheboksary 41:52.69 and this may be the measure of the difference in temperature, humidity and even altitude as Cali is almost 1,000m above sea level).

Among the names of the first 20, excluding Russians athletes, we find the Chinese Jun Zhang, beautiful athlete, silver in Cali and victorious in Xintati at Chinese Championships where he finished the 10km road in 41:54. An athlete with excellent technique that, if he continues and will not scatter, as often happens in the Far East (we remember the Japanese Toshikazu Yamanishi, winner in Donestk with the time of 41:53.80 that he immediately abandoned athletics, having won a scholarship in mathematics in a Japanese university) we will hear about in the future.

Among the performance not up to the personal best there are in particular those of the two athletes of Australia, Tyler Jones credited of 43:24.55 (Sydney, March 13, 2015), DNF, and Kyle Swan (credit of 43:50.85 - Sydney, March 13, 2015) that after being penalized himself 120" in the Pit Lane area has completed the race in last place only for the honor of signing (which enjoyed as a World Championship is always honoured).

Among them, unfortunately, there is the Italian Giacomo Brandi, often burdened in Italy too careful observations by local juries, but here in Cali has passed with flying colors to an international jury.
The athlete, coached by Carlo Mattioli, has never appeared in the race, held back by psychological problems as "the fear of the juries", wherefore should never be part of the baggage of a walker, and ended the race in 44:48.39 ninth, improving slightly the time obtained in the Italian U18 Championships, June 19, 2015 of 44:55.74, but far quite 1:30 from his personal best of 43:26.24 achieved in Macerata (ITA) on 09.05.2015.

Other lights: The Mexican Federico Gonzalez (bronze in 42:54.55) and Andres Olivas (4th with a personal best of 43:27.70), the Japanese Toshiki Ueda (5th with a personal best 43: 4.83) and the home athlete Cesar Alberto Herrera (6th in 44:01.87) followed by the fans with and incredible cheering in the stands of The Stadium Guerrero in Cali.

Other shadows, in addition to Russian Zakhar Sliva: the South African Pierre Vermaak who credited a 44:24.43 fails to finish the race.
