From Tuesday, August 18 to Thursday, August 20 will be held in Beijing the 50th IAAF Congress in which there are also elections for:
- IAAF President (candidates: Sergey Bubka - UKR and Sebastian Coe - GBR)
- IAAF Vice President, Treasurer, Council (and female Individual members)
- IAAF Technical Committee (and female members)
- IAAF Women Committee (and male members)
- IAAF Race Walking Commitee (and female members)
- IAAF Cross Country Commitee (and female members)
