29/07/2015   Leiria (POR) - Portuguese Championships






Were held Saturday in Leiria the Championships of Portugal with the usual races over the distance of 10.000m on track both male and female.

The two races were held in conjunction and competing with the system of lanes: in the first lane the male race and in fifth lane the female race.

 

10,000m track walk men

 

The victory went to Joao Vieira with a time of 41:20.75 that preceded for the silver Pedro Isidro (41:30.71).

The bronze went to Miguel Carvalho in 41:57.22.

 

Thirteen athletes at the start, of which eight have completed the race, 3 DNF and 2 DQ.

 

 

10.000m track walk women

 

The now recurring battle between the four Portuguese star has settled once again in favor of the athlete coached by Paulo Murta.

Ana Cabecinha has indeed won gold with the best time of 43:19.12 and presenting herself as one of the candidates to the podium in Beijing 2015.

The silver went to Ines Henriques, after a little more than 20", which has completed the race in 43:40.68.

For third place the forty Susana Feitor once again, with unflagging determination, prevailed in 44:50.19 to Vera Santos ending fourth in 46:48.07.
