They began this morning with the 10,000m women race walk the Spanish Track Championships in Athletics.

The morning began with a torrential downpour which fortunately went to decline as soon as the walkers started the race.
 
Immediately it formed a group of Raquel González, Julia Takacs, Maria Jose Poves and Laura García-Caro who presents some technical problems and was soon disqualified by the jury.
 
Julia Tackacs emerges from the pack which, although risking, off other rivals and went on to win his fifth title (and third consecutive) of Spanish Champion with a time of 44:00:36.
The silver goes to Maria Jose Poves detached 16"85/100 in 44:17:21.
The bronze goes to Raquel Gonzalez in44: 47.51
 
Fourth Ainhoa Pinedo (45:59.17) in front of Amanda Cano (46: 05.10).

The expectations of the eve said Miguel Angel Lopez and so it proved.
 
After starting at about 3:58 per km the European Champion had no trouble in dominating the race in long and wide, finishing in 39:15.61.

The silver goes to Benjamin Sanchez Bermejo in 40:03:35 (season best) while the bronze goes to Alvaro Martin Uriol (40:13.60 - season best) in front of the new European Champion Junior Diego Garcia Carrera (40: 20:53).
 
Nineteen athletes at the start of which 17 completed the race and 2 DQ.
