iAfter the less than brilliant (except for Antonella Palmisano) performance in the Italian walk in Beijing, the activity restart with a new initiative.
Terni in Umbria hosts the 1st trophy Amleto Monti organized by a group of enthusiasts led by Learco Monti.
The races was held on Sunday, September 13 on a street circuit of 1,400m to be covered several times depending on the different age groups, with a fair participation also helped by the participation of athletes in the master category.
10 km senior and U23 men
The victory went to Leonardo Dei Tos in 42 36.49 (42:37 in road race) in front of Dessi Lorenzo, second in 43:49.
In third place, and the first of the U23 category, Michele Antonelli (44:09) which in turn precede for fourth place, and second in U23, Andrea Agresti (44:25)
10 km junior men
Only one athlete at the start, the walker of the home team, Luca Capogrossi ending the race in 55:21
10 km U18 boys
Us only athlete at the start, Marco Belli, unfortunately disqualified
5 km senior and U-23 women
No difficulto to win the race for Valentina Trapletti in 22:09.95 (22:10 views the road race) in front of the U23 Mariavittoria Becchetti (23.19), while the third place comes the other U23 Nicole Colombi in 23:35.
5 km Junior women
Only one athlete at the start, Lidia Barcella, who finished the race in 00:48
5 km U18 girls
At level U18 a pleasant return to racing after the disappointment of Cali for Anthea Mirabello finishing the race in 24:41, winning in front of her twin sister Angelica Mirabello (24:59.61 - equal to 25:00)
A big thanks to the organizers for their courage and willingness demonstrated by this organization that we would like to define "core", with the hope of seeing this Trophy again during the next season, perhaps with a larger number of athletes.
