It took place on Saturday 19 September in Bacúch the eighth edition of the international road walk for male (on the distance of 10km) and female (on the distance of 5km).
At the competition partecipated also two athletes Italian, Leonardo Dei Tos and Alberto Zaupa, accompanied by their coaches, Enzo Fiorillo and Vittorio Visini.
10 km men
The race is lived in the duel at three between th vice-Olympic champion Erick Barrondo (GUA), the Slovak Anton Kučmín and precisely Leonardo Dei Tos (ITA).
The circuit of 1,000m showed a slight hill of 500m and, of course, to return a slightly downhill.
The athletes walked together up to 5km and after each other, with a series of spurts, have tried to win the race, which at this point has taken a good interest despite the non massive presence of athletes at the start.
The victory went to Erick Barrondo, that in the last two kilometers further forced the pace and finished in 41:46.
For second place Anton Kučmín had the best (42:04) on Leonardo Dei Tos who finished in 42:15.
The other Italian athlete in the race arrived seventh in 48:44.
5 km women
He had no difficulty to win victory Mirna Ortiz (GUA) with a time of 22:26.
In second place in the Polish Agnieszka Dygacz 22:50 in fronto of the teammate Agnieszka Ellward (24:06).
Fourth the first home athlete Monika Horňáková in 25:32
