26/10/2015   Takahata (JPN) - Victory of Koichiro Morioka in 50km






It took place on Sunday in Takahata in Japan the 54 edition of the All Japan Race Walking of 50km, of which the World March had announced on 4 October 2015, the subscribers list.

 

Thanks to the cooperation of our friend now Japanese Tomoya Ishii we are pleased to present a brief report and the results of all the races.

 

 


 

 

On October 25 the 54th All Japan Race Walking Meet took place in Tahahata town, Japan.  Men 50km was held as a selection to decide a Japanese representative to Rio 2016.  Other events were non-selective races.

In men 50km, 30 athletes started, 16 could reach the finish line. 

The winner was Koichiro Morioka in 3:44:27 in spite of the cold and windy condition.  The temperature was 10.6 degrees centigrade when the race started.  It was 12.7 when Morioka finished, although it was so warm, around 22 the day before.

 

As a result of that he got the passport to Rio next summer.  

The second was Tomofumi Kanno at 3:54:24.  

The third was Takuya Yoshida at 3:54:55.

In men 20km, Satoshi Maruo won the first place in 1:20:57.  

Tomohiro Noda won the second place in 1:21:05 and the third was Eiki Takahashi in 1:22:34.

In women 20kmW, Ai Michiguchi finished in 1:32:34 and won the first place. 

The second was Masumi Fuchise in 1:35:04 and the third was Rena Goto in 1:35:25.

 

Also participated in the race, the Australian walker Regan Lamble, which ranked in the second place overall ,with a time of 1:32:36 which represent the entry standard to Olympic in Rio de Janeiro.
