It was held yesterday in Guadix the 30th edition of the Race Walk Grand Prix of Guadix for the eleventh time dedicated to the memory of Manuel Alcalde.

The windy day, but with a pleasant temperature, it saw the start of a hundred walkers in different age categories.

The most important races, those of the absolute category, have seen the following results.

5 km men

The victory went to Alberto Amezcua that was the only athlete below the threshold of 21:00, finishing the race in 20:36.

The second place went to Ivan Pajuelo at 21:03 in front of the young junior Manuel Bermudez (YoB 1997) who finished the race in 21:18, just in front of Luis Manuel Corchete (21:21).

Thirty-two athletes have completed the race

5 km women

The victory in the women's race went to the athlete of Ukraine Inna Kashyna (YoB 1991) who won with relative ease and with the good time of 23:10.

The second place went to the U23 Spanish Maria Perez who finished the race in 23:50.

Over 24:00 is coming the third athlete Amanda Cano in 24:01.

To wait nearly two minutes for the arrival of the fourth, Irene Vazquez that ends the race in 25:54.
