Athletics Australia to offer to host the World Race Walking Team Championships (formerly the Race Walking World Cup) after the decision of the IAAF to cancel the edition scheduled for next May in Cheboksary in Russia.

“Consistent with our support of the action taken by the IAAF, Athletics Australia has indicated our interest in bidding, at the appropriate time, to host the IAAF World Race Walking Cup.”

“We will make further comment on this matter after the IAAF Council has confirmed the terms of the provisional suspension at their next Council meeting, scheduled to take place at end of this month.”
