For Italy is the fourth time that will host the event, before as Lugano Trophy and then as the World Cup: the last time in Turin in 2002.

The race will unfold in one of the most beautiful areas of Rome's historical center, between the Arch of Constantine and Baths of Caracalla, with arrival in the area of the stadium of athletics that is at the foot of the ruins. An extraordinary scenery, the beauty of which has probably been one of the trump cards in favor of the Italian bidding.
