Today in Porto de Mos took place the Championship of Portugal 35km men.
35 km men
The victory went to Joao Viera in front of his brother Sergio Vieira.
Joao Vieira has covered the distance with these split times:
- 10 km: 47:21
- 20 km: 1:33:21
- 30 km: 2.15: 50
Up to the 30th kilometer he valked with his brother Sergio.
In the last 5km Joao Vieira forced the pace and prevailed on his brother in 2:37:59, while Sergio Vieira finished in 2:38:18.
Third place went to Pedro Isidro in 2:43:27 (10km: 47:21 - 20km: 1:33:31 - 30km: 2:19:50)
Eleven athletes have completed the race.
In the race of 20 km reserved to the women, Daniela Stoffel Cardoso obtain the result of being the fifth athlete in Portugal to obtain the entry standard for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
In the same women race Ines Henriques completes (2:24:25), the first woman ever in Portugal, a 30km.
