Last Saturday was held in San Diego a meeting open called Winter Classics attended also by foreign athletes.

As part of the Meeting was expected a mixed track walk over a distance of 3000m outdoor with the participation of some of the athletes of Mexico and the Italian Matteo Giupponi and Eleonora Anna Giorgi.

The victory went to Matteo Giupponi with a time of 27.11.87 in front of the thirty-seven American John Nunn (11:51.22).
For the Italian athlete this time is the new personal best over the distance (previous 11:50.14 obtained in Milan on Sep. 28, 2011).

Third place to the other American Nick Christie in 12:01:46.
