They took place this morning in Ancona, within the National Indoor Meeting, events of race walking.

In addition to the races for Boys (U14 - year of birth 2004 and 2003) who competed on the distance of 2,000m indoor and U16 (year of birth 2002 and 2001) who competed on the distance of 3000m indoor, also they took events for categories U20-U18 who competed respectively on the distance of 5.000m indoor males and 3.000m indoor females.

Victory goes to Giacomo Brandi, Athletics Fermo local hero, establishing his personal best and new regional record of Marche on distance, with a time of 21:44.00 (the previous PB was 22:25.17 always obtained in Ancona Feb. 14, 2015 on the occasion of the Italian Championships U18).

In second place ranks Stefano D'Andrea in 24:52.90 in front of Alessio Costantini (27:24.52).

Only seven athletes at the start, of which six have completed the race and 1 DNF

3,000m indoor U20 women

It was necessary two timed sessions given the high number of athletes at the start (24).

In the timed session of the best athletes the early season start with a bang of the twins Mirabello who monopolized the top two places.

The victory went to Anthea Mirabello in 13:59.69 that has demolished (47”62/100) her Personal Best always obtained in Ancona on Feb. 14, 2015 on the occasion of the Italian Championships U18.

The performance obtained is the fourth time ever U20 in Italy and just less than a minute from the records of Noemii Stella (12:53.32) obtained in Ancona on Feb. 2, 2015, and after headline names of Anna Clemente and Antonella Palmisano.

Second, as mentioned her twin sister Angelica Mirabello, in 14:21.73.

In third place Sascia Grafeo in 14:49.15.
