Continues the indoor season with excellent results also from our neighbors in France.
Took place in fact in Eubonne (Ile de France, FRA), the local Regional Championships Senior-U23 with the usual race walking events on the classic distances.
3.000m. race walk indoor women
The victory went to Emilie Menuet (1991) with a time of 12:35.17.
This time is the national new indoor record in France, (previous of 12:40.44 obtaiined in Lievin from compatriot Fathia Ouali) and improving exactly 30/100 the performance of 12:35.47 obtained in outdoor track in Vineuil (FRA) on May 10, 2015.
In addition, up today, this time is the best world performance of the year in front of Valentina Trapletti who had obtained a good 13:06.03 in Padova on January 16, 2016.
The second place went to Fabienne Rinero Chanfreau in 13:48.14 in front of the bronze Marine Quennehen (13:53.75)
Nineteen athletes at the start and were divided into two timed sessions.
5.000m race walk indoor men
In the men's race results they were not of value as in the female.
Yanis Souaber won in 22:22.12.
Second place went to Thomas Da Silva Carvalho Le in 22:41.60 in front of Benoit Berchebru (22:50.88).
