23/02/2016   Pombal (POR): Sergio Vieira and Ana Cabecinha won Indoor championships in Portugal






Saturday, February 20 Indoor Championships were held in Portugal.
 
 
5.000m indoor men
 
Sergio Vieira won with a little of difficulty his fifth title in front of lil teammates Pedro Isidro.
The time Vieira was 19:43.93, while Isidro was 19:44:17 (new personal best).
In third place another athlete of SL Benfica, Miguel Carvalho, (first U23) in 21:10,50.
 
Sixteen athletes at the start of which 13 have completed the race, DNF 1 and 2 DQ.
 
 
3000m indoor women
 
She had no difficulty Ana Cabecinha to win his sixth title (and the fifth consecutive) with a time of 12:25.23.
 
This time is currently the world's second time of the year behind 12:20.77 Brigita Virbalyte-Dimsiene obtained in Vilnius on January 30, 2016.
The silver went to Daniela Stoffel in 12:49.18 and the bronze Enda Barros in 13:00.47.
 
Twelve athletes at the start. All have completed the race.
