The race walking Championship of Spain in 50km still sees once a victory of Miguel Angel Lopez.
50km men
The athlete of Murcia could not start in the best way his Olympic journey to Rio de Janeiro where he plans to double both in the 20 km that in the 50 km, winning the Spanish title with a time of 3:55:52.
Lopez got the win in the final kilometers when he distanced Mikel Odriozola, who had led the race until 30 km alone and then up to 40 km with him.
Mikel Oriozola gets the silver in 3: 54.21.
The bronze goes to the athlete of Madrid, Jose Ignacio Diaz (3:55:41).
These three athletes are moreover the only ones who have finished the race under the wall of 4:00.
Interesting place on the fourth race of the young Pablo Oliva (4:00:31), while the fifth place ranks Francisco Arcilla (4:02:49).
Thirty-six athletes at the start, of which 13 have completed the race, 18 DNF and 5 DQ.
20 km women
In the women's race on the 20km distance Beatriz Pascual returns to win in 1:29:27 (half race in 45:02).
The Catalan athlete, which last year has been stopped for an injury, won his fifth national title in six years.
Up to 14 km Beatriz Pascual walked along with Raquel Campos then forced the pace.
Raquel Campos finished in 1:29:46.
In third place a fair result to Ainhoa Pinedo (1:34:36 - half race in 47:00) that gets the bronze.
Followed in fourth place Maria Jose Poves (1:35: 07 - half race in 47:00) and fifth Laura Garcia-Caro (1:35.39 - half race in 47:09). Only sixth Julia Takacs (1:35:47 - half race in 47:00).
