A road course in front of the headquarters of RAI Saxa Rubra in Rome, hosted this morning an evaluation test of the walker Alex Schwarzer, the athlete from South Tyrol near the conclusion of the period of ineligibility for doping (the term is fixed in April 29 next).

The test, agreed at the recent meeting with FIDAL was intended to provide information on the status of the athlete's shape, in the light of the intention to return to activity at the end of the banned period.

Followed by his personal coach Sandro Donati, under the presence of the Head Coach Massimo Magnani and the advisor on race walking Antonio La Torre, and judged by the judges Davide Bandieramonte and Giovanni FerrariSchwarzer had a training session consisting of two fractions of 10km (in 41:59 and 41:01) interspersed by the four minutes it takes to lactate test. In closing of the test, a 5000 meters, walked in 19:39.

"These figures - the comment of Magnani - one that testify objectively already high fitness. But for me, at this stage, it was especially important to get concrete data, as well as validated by the judges, considering that in this discipline is not possible to separate the part prestativa from that technique. The future?
It is early to make any reasoning, we will evaluate with each passing week. "

"What sirprosed me - the comment of La Torre - is the overall management of the situation by the athlete: the combination of data, starting with those lap times, it seems significant. Plus, I add things, technically, have improved with the passage of kilometers, something that should not be underestimated."
