14/04/2016   Rome 2016: boys on their way (in walking) to Rome in 2016.

(from FIDAL web-site)

Wonderful iniziative of FIDAL less than a month before the World Team Race Walking Championships (May 7 and 8), it was held the first clinic of race walk with the Capitoline athletic schools. The format sees great interpreters of Italian walking (yesterday and today) to wear for a day as coach robes and to reveal all the secrets of the heel and toe to younger. Besides deepening the knowledge of the discipline, the students have the chance to spend an afternoon with the Italian Champions, dealing with them in the first person in the athletic fields where they train every day.

The first to get on track in the Stadio Paolo Rosi of Rome, was Rossella Giordano, very good to entertain and intrigue the boysn and girls proposing technical exercises and tests on track and telling their own experiences in athletics.

At the stadium of the “Terme of Caracalla”, the 7th and 8th will be the beating heart of the World Championships, he came into action instead Lorenzo Dessi (50km walker of Fiamme Gialle), author of a stimulating afternoon for about forty walkers in grass.

Organized by FIDAL Lazio, the clinics are held in different stadia of the capital: the next “teachers” will be Marco De Luca (Guardia di Finanza), already in the Italian Team for the IAAF World Race Walking Team Championships in 50 km, and Antonella Palmisano (Guardia di Fianza), fifth World Championships in Beijing 2015.
