The Roma 2016 logo in memory of Anna Rita Sidoti

The graphic part of the logo represents two main elements, both surrounded by blue light: the first, placed in the background, is a stylized Colosseum, the famous Roman amphitheater in the world as one of the symbols of the Eternal City.

The front image derives from a photo of Anna Rita Sidoti, the Italian walker gold at the World Championships in Athens in 1997 and died prematurely last year, at age 45. 

The story of Anna Rita, mother of three sons, courageous and smiling woman, memorable athlete, has deeply moved the whole of Italy. 

It will be dedicated to her memory also a special award for women's 20km of IAAF Race Walk World Team Championships in Rome in 2016.
