The two athletes on which Brazil poses the highest hopes to do well in the next Olympic Games won the two races on the 20 km road walk in the penultimate day of the 35th Trofeo Brasil underway in Sao Bernardo do Campo.
The two race walking events took place on a circuit on Avenida Lauro Gomez with start and finish in front of the football field.
20km men
He had no difficulty fines Caio Bonfim to win the race with a time of 1:23:26.
These his split times:
- 5km in 22:01
- 10km in 42:47 (22:46)
- 15km in 1:03:34 (20:47)
Surprisingly however the second place to Max Batista Goncalves dos Santos in 1:25:15 representing the new personal best. He had clocked on April 6 this year in Rio Maior, along with the twentieth position, 1:28:53; an improvement of more than 3:30 is not an every day.
In third place Lucas Gomes de Souza Mazzo in 1:25:42, also a new personal best (previous 1:26:28 got to La Coruna on May 28, 2016).
In fourth place was Moacir Zimmermann in 1:25:58, but he will participate in the Rio Games.
20km women
Also in the race of the women's victory was announced.
Erica Rocha de Sena has moved permanently to head to 5km (23:49) and no one has more reached.

to finish the last 5km in 25:04 with the final time of 1:37:38
Second place to Cisiane Dutra Lopez in 1:40:26.

Now Erica de Sena reach the boyfriend/coach Andres Chocho in Font Romeau in France in the Pyrenees to finalize the preparation to Rio.
