With a brief ceremony on the first day of the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam, took place the award ceremony of two gold medals, reassigned after the decisions of CAS in Lausanne who rewrote the race walking results at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009.

The two gold medals that were changed were awarded in the following events:

20 km women

1.- Olive Loughnane (IRL): 1:28:58 (field victory went to Olga Kaniskina - RUS in 1:28:09)

2.- Liu Hong (CHN): 1:29:10

3.- Anisiya Kirdyapkina (RUS) 1:30:08

50 km men

1.- Trond Nymark (NOR): 3:41:16 (field victory went to Sergey Kirdyapkin - RUS in 3:38:35)

2.- Jesus Angel Garcia (ESP): 3:41:37

3.- Grzegorz Sudol (POL): 3: 423: 34
