This morning in Gijon (ESP) took place the race of the men of the Spanish Championships on track with the track walk on 10,000m.
The race was a solo of Miguel Angel Lopez who won the title with the good performance of 38:06.28.
Lopez led the race from the start to finish with these split times:

Second place to Alvaro Martin in 39:23.51 (new personal best).
The bronze went to Luis Alberto Amezcua in 39:29.00 (new personal best).
The result obtained by Lopez is the fourth all time over the distance of 10,000m track walk.

- Ivano Brugnetti (ITA) - 37:58.6 in Sesto San Giovanni on July 23, 2005

Even the brave Ivan Pajuelo, the only one who dared to fight Lopez in the early stages of the race, he established his personal best finishing fourth in 40:16.98.
Sixteen athletes at the start of which 14 arrived and 2 DQ.
