03/10/2016   Hillingdon (ENG) - Emma Achurch (GBR) breaks British U20 record 20km






As part of the International Festival of race Walking which was held on the bike course of Hillinddon in the suburbs of London Sunday, October 2, 2016 the most interesting results comes from Junior athletes.
 
 
These in brief the results.
 
Heather Lewis won the women’s 20km walk in 1:38:22 ahead of junior Emma Achurch’s British record 1:43:26.
 
Cameron Corbishley won the men’s race in 1:33:00.
 
Helder Santos of Portugal won the men’s 50km walk in 4:32:56.
 
Good youth participation in boys and girls events on the 3km and 5km (depending on the age limit) called Nihill Shield and valid for an International Trophy between Great Britain and Ireland with guest athletes.
 
Ireland’s Andrew Carroll (25:27) in boys and Niamh O’Connor (25:51) in girls won the Nihill Trophy junior international 5km races.
