As it was in the forecast of the eve the races for the title of Italian Champion U18 on the 10km distance were won by two favorite athletes: Davide Marchesi and Anthea Mirabello.
10km road walk U18 boys
It been a bit harder than the same athlete could think, but at the end Davide Marchesi won, despite the two red cards, in front of Alfonso Alberga.
His time of 45:20 is very close to his personal best of 45:18.
Alfonso Alberga instead improved by 1:01 registering the new personal best of 45:26 compared to 46:27 with which he was accreditated in Grottammare.
In third place the other candidate to victory in 45:47 Nicolas Fanelli also to the new personal best (prevois one of 45:50).
Twenty-six athletes at the start and all have completed the race which took place with the Pit Lane Rule, but without aby athlete in penalty.
10km road walk U18 girls
As expected it was a solo of the twins Anthea and Angelica Mirabello.
Anthea Mirabello won in 52:14, almost a training for her having a personal best of 49:23 on the distance.
The second place to the sister Angelica Mirabello in 52.25: also for her little more than a training considering the 50:42 time of accreditation.
The nice note is that, at least for Anthea which in the past had suffered from some technical problems, the jury did not send any any red cards.
Third place to Alessia Mastronicola in 53:00.
This race have at the start 37 athletes and 36 completed the race with only one DNF.
Also in this race no athlete suffers any technical penalty.
Other races
20 km men
Absent Teodorico Caporaso who had participated in the World Team Championships in Rome and Olympic Games in Rio, the victory goes to Gianluca Picchiottino in 1:29:17.
Second place to Giovanni Renò in 1:30:57.
Third place to Francesco Fortunato in 1:37:46 returning to racing after a short period of rest.
Twenty-five athletes at the start of which 21 completed the race, 3 DNF and 1 DQ.
20 km U20 men
Victory to Attlio Trapasso in 1:34:30.
Second place to Stefano Cicalò in 1:35:00.
Third placeto Giuseppe Pantera in 1:36:10.
Fourteen athletes at the start of which 13 completed the race and 1 DQ.
20 km women
Wictory to Nicole Colombi in 1:38:32.
Second place to Diana Cacciotti in 1:39:49.
Third place to Adelaide Sansoni in 1:42:33.
Thirteen athletes at the start of which 12 completed the race and 1 DNF.
20 km U20 Women
Victory to Giada Francesca Ciabini in 1:42:51.
Second place to Lidia Barcella in 1:45:44.
Third place to Annalisa Russo in 1:48:16.
Thirteen athletes at the start of which 11 completed the race and 2 DNF.
