The first walk of the year 2017 will be held in Hong Kong.
Organized by the Hong Kong Association Racewalking on January 1, 2017 after the festivities for the beginning of the year will start at Stonecutters Island, in the area of the Container Port Road South a 50km a 6-hour road walk meet.

The organizers have set the following maximum entry quotas and the following time limits for single events:
- 50km: 30 participants - 7 hours time limit
- 6 hours: 40 participants
- 20km: 30 participants - 3 hours time limit
- 10km: 30 participants - 80 minutes time limit
- 5km: 20 participants - 45 minutes time limit
