23/10/2016   Takahata (JPN): victory of Kai Kobayashi in his first 50km






Kai Kobayashi (JPN) won the 55th edition of "All Japan Championships 50km".

For the Japanese athlete is the first experience in the 50 km almost always having the last two years competed in the 20 km.

Kobayashi has a personal best of 1:19:12 on short distance, established in Nomi (JPN) on March 15, 2015, while this year in the same race in Nomi on March 20 he clocked the time of 1:19:57.
 
In the lead from the first meters of the race Kobayashi has booked the ticket to London 2017 with a race always lived in first place, he ended with a time of 3:42:08.

Immediately after Kobayashi forced the pace and it was a solo race, while Yamazaki after the 25 km mark has a progressive decline.

last 5km: 22:27
 
Second place went to Hayato Katsuki (JPN) distanced over 11:30, and ending his 50km in 3:53:41 new personal best (broken the former, always established in Takahata on October 25, 2015 with the time of 3:59:03, by 5:22).

Are still needed nearly six minutes for the arrival of the third, Takashi Okuma (JPN) who finishes in 3:59:30.
 
Only these three athletes have broken down the wall of the 4-hour race.
Fourth place to Satoshi Maruo (4:02:36) followed by Yuki Yamazaki (4:05:43) and Shuta Goto (4:05:50).
