07/11/2016   XXXI Gran premio de Guadix: Victories of Amezcua (ESP) and Kashina (UKR)






Continues the activity despite the season is winding down.

Last Saturday in Guadix (ESP) was held the XXXI edition of the Gran Premio Ciudad de Guadix in 2016 valid also for the XII Memorial Manuel Alcalde.
 
We remember that Manuel Alcalde, unfortunately died prematurely, was a great Spanish athlete and then he was the one who contributed to the technical growth of the wonderful gem that was Francisco Javier Fernandez.
 
Rightly, the organizer of the Grand Prix Ciudad de Guadix, Daniel Jacinto Garzon Jimenez, has long wanted to match the edition of the Grand Prix to the name of the illustrious personage passed away.
 
This year has seen the start many athletes of all categories, from the youth to master.
The most important races were those related to senior athletes who have performed on the distance of 5km road, leaving at 18:30, on 1.000m of the course go and back in the center of Guadix, in the floodlit Avenida Medina Olmos.

The victory went to Luis Alberto Amezcua (ESP) who stop the clock in 20:21.
Second place went to Ivan Pajuelo (ESP) in 20:41 and third place to Luis Manuel Corchete (ESP) in 20:51.
 
Of the 15 athletes who crossed the line only these three were classified with a time less than the wall of the 21 minutes.
 
 
5km road walk women
 
The victory went to Inna Kashina (UKR) who stop the clock in 22:31.
Second place went to Maria Perez (ESP) in 22:57 and third place to Amanda Cano (ESP) in 23:24.
 
Only these three athletes under 24 minutes between the 7 arrived.
 
 
The two events for the junior athletes (U20) was dominated in males, by Jose Manuel Perez Rubio in 22:16 and in females by Angela Carrion in 25:27.
