Two years ago, December 9, 2014, it had fallen to Ronald (Ron) Daniel be awarded the "Lori Maynard Award".

This award was announced during the course of the "2014 annual Track and Field meeting" and delivered during "8th Annual Hall of Fame officials" that was held in the Sheraton Park Hotel en Anaheim, California, USA.

Yesterday, in Clinton in Connecticut, in the edition of 2016 to be awarded it was Maryanne Torrelas Daniel, who is none other than Ron Daniel's wife.

The picture was made even more pleasant by the fact that to open the envelope and presenting the Lori Maynard Outstanding Official Award to find out which of the finalists perhaps been awarded the prestigious US award was just touched to Ron Daniel.

Last year Maryanne Torrelas Daniel was elected to the IAAF Walking Committee in the electoral session of Beijing 2015, while in 2016 she was the judge at World U20 Championships in Bydgosczcz.
