Interesting races this weekend in track athletics Faro (POR).
It was scheduled for the Meeting de Inverno da casa do Benfica de Faro and during the first day Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 the track walk events were also held.
The scheduled distance was that of 5.000m track walk, but during the female race was also detected the official time to 3.000m as if you had had two races.
5.000m track walk men
Only two athletes at the start and both finish the race.
The victory goes to Rodrigo Marques (POR) ending in 24:04.81 far from his personal best of 22:27.95 established in Setubal (POR) on May 28, 2016.
Second place to Marco Ataide (POR) in 25:19:73.
5.000m track walk women
It was the most interesting race together with that mate on the distance of 3000m on track.
Victory for Ana Cabechina (POR) in 22:04.81 that represents the new personal best over the distance (previous 22:16.81 obtained in Vila Real de Santo Antonio - POR on Jan. 11, 2015).
Second place to Edna Barros (POR) in 24:33.73 a few hundredths of a second far from the personal best of 24:33.25 obtained in Vila Real de Santo Antonio (POR) on Jan. 11, 2015.
Third place to Catarina Marques (POR) in 25:14:42
