07/01/2017   Padova (ITA): First indoor open, victories of Alberto Zaupa and Sara Vitiello






Start of indoor activity even in Italy.

 

It took place in Padua the first of the usual indoor open days which include the race walk events.

 

5.000m indoor walk men

 

Victory of Alberto Zaupa, coached by former head coach of the Italian national team Vittorio Visini, with the time 22:10.87.

These are his split times:

1.000m: 4:25.9

2.000m: 8:54.9 (4:29.0)

3.000m: 13:21.0 (4:26.1)

4.000m.: 17:45.8 (4:24.8)

5.000m: 22:10.87 (4:25.07)

 

Second place to Michele Disarò in 23:05:23.

Third place to Igor Sapounov in 24:15.45.

 

Nine athletes at the start of which eight arrived and 1 DQ

 

 

3.000m indoor walk women

 

Victory of Sara Vitiello with the time of 14:18:46 representing the new personal best (previous 14:44.98 established in Ancona on February 6, 2016)

These are her split times:

1.000m: 4:34.4

2.000m: 9:31.1 (4:36.7)

3.000m: 14:18:46 (4:247.36)

 

Second place to Gulia Imbesi in 15:27.47.

Third place  to Alice Oblach in 15:49.40.

 

The the athltetes at the start; all of them finished the race.
