27/01/2017   Eubonne (FRA): Victories of Emilie Menuet and Aurelien Quinion






Last weekend was full of walking races and we had to neglect some.

We apologize to our readers.

 

 

3.000m indoor women

 

In one of these to Eubonne in France in local Regional Championships was obtained in the women's 3.000m indoor walk the first result of the 2016/2017 season under the wall of 13:00.00.

This performance was obtained by Emilie Menuet (year of birth 1991) in 12:50.13, (we remember that the French  has a personal best on the distance of 12:35.17 (always got to Eubonne on Jan. 26, 2016)

The French 25 year old so became the World leader of indoor list in front of the compatriot Clemence Beretta Clemente who in Vittel on Dec. 0, 2016 had stopped the clock in 13:07.78.

The race Eubonne saw an interesting numerical participation.  Two timed sessions were needed to be disputed: one of the strongest with 9 athletes at the start and the other with 14 athletes at the start.

 

In second place ranked Marine Quennehen in 13.28.79

Third place to Amandine Marcou in 13:37.14

 

 

5.000m indoor men

 

Also in this race a good numerical participation with two timed sessions at the start: one of the strongest with 8 athletes at the start, and the other with 6 athletes at the start.

However, the level was much lower than that of the female race.

 

Victory to Aurelien Quinion in 21:09.36

Second place  to Alexis Auger in 23:53.09.

Third place  to Vincent Bollinger in 23:53.99.
