Ancona is the usual venue that will host these Championships; walking events will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the following hours,
15:00 - 3,000m indoor U18 girls
17:50 - 5.000m indoor U18 boys
It will be the decision of the Technical Delegate whether to divide into timed sessions if the start number needed.
In the mean time it was announced the provisional entry lists
5.000m indoor U18 men
Should be present at the start of the following 27 athletes.
The victory should be a matter between Davide Finocchietti and Riccardo Orsoni who in a recent crosstalk have rewritten the history of the Italian best performance on 3.000m indoor walk U18.
Perhaps the longest distance can leave some small doubt about which of the two, but in any case the show should be ensured in the stands of Palalindoor of Ancona.

3.000m indoor U18 women
Should be present at the start of the following 27 athletes.
This race should be more difficult to interpret.
The title of Italian Champion Indoor U18 should come out between these names: Ida Mastrangelo, Sara Buglisi, Alessia Mastronicola, Alessandra Lentini e Andrada Lavinia Lacatus.
The first two come from the lower category (year of birth 2001) and only Ida Mastrangelo has an experience on 3.000m indoor walk (15:19.30 obtained at an interregional meeting disputed on March 8, 2015 two yeas ago).
The other three have already competed in Italian Indoor Championship U18 2016 with the following results:
- Alessia Mastronicola: 13th in 15:47.45
- Alessandra Lentini: 4th in 14:35.20
- Andrada Lavinia Lacatus: 7th in 14:58.75
The latter three also come from a common experience in the Italian outdoor Championships U18, 2016 on the distance of 5.000m where Andrada Lavina Lacatus won (1st in 24:47.84) on Alessia Mastronicola (2nd in 25:00.86) and Alessandra Lentini (3rd in 25:26.23).
