A very intense week-end for walking races.

National Championships on the distance of 20 km in Japan (Kobe) and Australia (Adelaide), Indoor Championships in France (Bordeaux with the return to racing of Yohann Diniz) and Italy (Ancona).

 

Championships also on the distance of 20km and 50km in India in New Delhi, where it will also hold a seminar on race walk, coordinated by Pierce O'Callaghan and aimed at judges, coaches and officials, with the presence of another judge of Ireland Shaun Gallagher.

This seminar and all the Championships were sponsored for the first time by Max Bupa Health Insurance that has signed an agreement with the Federation of India to promote race walk in that country.

 

Very interesting the number of participants in India Championships

- 20km men: 41 athletes

- 20km women: 12 athletes

- 50km men: 28 athletes

with over 40 athletes (between male and female) entered in the U20 races.

 

And finally another seminar dedicated to race walking judges in Kobe, Japan with the presence of three international judges: Khoo Chong Beng (MAS), Echo yeung (HKG) and Rolf Mueller (GER).
