28/03/2017   Bye Colin !

Who knows Fei Jang (Colin Fee, for friends) knows that he has been for over 10 years, the link between race walk of China and that of Europe, Oceania and both Americas.

Colin replaced another old acquaintance, Shande Yang when the latter had left the Chinese Athletics Association to an important post at the Olympic Committee of China.

Since then it has been a succession of contacts, visits, reciprocal information.

In Europe Colin Fee was often arrived, almost always in the race of Rio Maior and La Coruna accompanying his team.

In Italy he was almost at home, during his stays in Saluzzo where Chinese athletes have trained for years and should have been built the most successful of Wang Zhen, Liu Hong, Cai Zelin and Qieyang Shenije.

In 2011 he became International Race Walking Judge for the Asian Area and in 2014 in London had passed the exams for the IAAF judge; even today he is part oh this panel. He acted in Taicang 2014 World Cup and in Beijing 2015 World Championships.

Colin used to tell everyone that his greatest sports friends had found them just in the last ten years in the world of the race walk. He usually added that the great experience was to work very closely with Sandro Damilano in his Group in Saluzzo.

His hidden hobby was however golf.

Now, for normal rotations as often happens in the sports world, Colin Fee left the China Athletics Association to go and attend to new work in the football federation.

His position will be taken by the other international race walk judge of China Yang Zhuongmin. Marcia dal Mondo wishes him all the best for good work.

To Colin the hope that the friendships and passion for race walk, grown in these years never decrease, and perhaps the pleasure to meet in the future.

An old Chinese saying tells that "only the mountains never meet”.

Who knows ?!

Wishes for your future Colin.
