Today March 4 during the second day of Indoor U20 Championship in Spain will be the presentation of an award to the Spanish race walking judge Antonio Arribas Gimenez, for his intense uninterrupted activities during fifty years as athletics judge.
Antonio Arribas was for years an able IAAF race walking judge.
His last international competition of high-level walk was that of the World Championships in Edmonton in 2001.
Unfortunately in 2002, at the four-year exams, despite having ranked among the top eight in the world, unfortunately, turned out the third judge in Spain after Jordi Estruch and Dolores Rojas, remaining excluded from the working panel.
Since then he has dedicated himself only to activities in Spain and in particular in the Community of Valencia, where he lives.

Hoy 4 de marzo, durante el desarrollo de la 2ª Jornada de Campeonato de España U20 de Pista Cubierta tendrá lugar la entrega de un Placa Homenaje al juez español Antonio Arribas Giménez, por su dilatada actividad de más de
cincuenta años, de forma ininterrumpida, como Juez de Atletismo
Antonio Arribas fue durante años un juez de marcha de la IAAF.
Su última competición internacional de marcha de alto nivel fue la de los Mundiales de Edmonton en 2001.
En 2002, los exámenes de cuatro años a pesar de haber clasificado entre los ocho primeros en el mundo, resultó el tercer juez en España después de Jordi Estruch y Dolores Rojas, quedando excluidos del panel operacional.
Desde entonces se ha dedicado exclusivamente a las actividades en España y en particular en la Comunidad de Valencia, en la que vive.
