11/03/2017   La Roche-sur-Yon (FRA): French Championships preview






There will be all french better athletes tomorrow in La Roche-sur-Yon in the Championships of France on 20km.

 

There will Yohann Diniz, Kevin Campion, Jean Blancheteau, Gabriel Bordier, Antonin Boyez, Damien Molly and Aurelien Quinon of the most famous names of the French scene of 20km.

The race will be valid as selection for the next World Championships in London 2017 and French Athletics Federation has set the limit at 1:21:25.

On this distance, the entry standard  is already in possession of Kevin Campion who got it last year in Podebrady (1:20:45).

 

In the women's 20km the technical level required for London is 1:32:45 and is already in possession of Emilie Menuet that got it in La Coruna 2016. Her most important opponents will be Amandine Marcou, Marine Quennehen, the young Clemence Beretta and the Tunisian Chahinez Nasri who will race as open.

 

The 50km will see for the first time in France at the start also a woman, the Polish Agnieszka Ellward well as nearly a dozen French walkers. But it will absent Yohann Diniz, who has opted for the 20km

 

Large the participation in the two U20 races.

Particularly in the male David Kuster (personal best of 42: 21.9 over the distance on track) will look to improve French category record that belongs to Jean Blancheteau (41:11)
